Lafarge Cement Services Philippines Inc. was recently conferred the “Investor In People” award, testimonial of the company’s commitment to being their people’s employer of choice. This is the first time such an award had been conferred to a Philippine company.

The award, given out by Investors in People UK and International Quality Centre, Ltd. is regarded as the equivalent of ISO certifications in realm of human resources. The two UK-based certifying companies select awardees on the basis of how they reached standards of being an investor in its people- in training, in development and in providing resources for a safe, healthy and productive working environment.

“This is truly an honor for Lafarge Cement Services and we will work even harder to ensure that our certification is renewed and that we constantly improve on our commitment to be a company for our people,” says Edgardo Soriano, LCSPI’s SVP for Organization, Human Resources & Corporate Communications of the certification, which is reviewed every three years.

“I am very proud of all we’ve accomplished.
