Newly elected Asean Federation of Cement Manufacturers (AFCM) president Ernesto M. Ordoñez explains the 2007-2009 AFCM focus on sustainable development at the Sustainable Cement International Conference held in Jakarta, Indonesia, last November 20-22, 2007.

Ordonez, who is also president of the Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (CeMAP) Inc., said that AFCM will promote use of alternative fuel resources (AFRs) instead of fossil fuels, given the rising fuel costs and global warming.
