Government-private sector partnership to save the environment was reaffirmed during the recent launch of a manual on the use of alternative fuel and raw materials including hazardous waste instead of conventional
fossil fuels by Philippine cement manufacturers.
The commitment to implement the environment-friendly procedure is shown by the joining of hands of (from left) Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI) Director Nuna Almanzor of the Department of Science and Technology, Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Director Julian Amador of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, the Cement Manufacturers’ Association of the Philippines (CeMAP) President Ernesto M. Ordonez, and the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) country director Jochem Lange during the launch rites held in Makati City.
